Basic Guide to the Hippodrome Terms and Conditions

Last Update: 03/12/2020

The most important piece of advice that I give to anyone who is thinking about joining a new casino is to read the small print. That’s why I have scoured the complete Hippodrome terms and conditions, picked out some key points and created this page. All of the points as detailed below are correct as of the 20th December 2018. If you have any more questions, feel free to get in touch at contact@online-casinos.com.

Full Hippodrome Casino Terms of Service List

Below I have listed all 14 sections of the Hippodrome Casino terms and conditions. You will see that I have pulled out certain sections in order to provide you with some commentary. This is because, while the document is actually written in a pretty nice style for a legal document, there are still some sections worth considering. For more information about the operator in general, read through my complete guide to the Hippodrome Casino.

1. About the Hippodrome Online Casino

1.3 “Applicable to Customers who are residents of Great Britain: All Customer Funds are held by Betway Limited in a segregated Customers’ Funds bank account, separate from company funds.”

Comment: While you can rest assured that the operator is legitimate simply because it holds a full UKGC licence, it is also nice to know that in the Hippodrome Casino terms of service, it guarantees that no customer’s money will be used as company funds. This means that, if something were to happen to the business, any cash you have tied up in an account would not be affected.

2. Jurisdiction

3. Creating an Account

3.5 “Inactive / Dormant Accounts – Hippodrome will consider an account to be inactive after a period of 12 months after the last account login.”

Comment: While this is standard practice for casinos, you should be aware that you will be charged a £5 monthly fee for inactivity after 12 months. This will continue until your account balance reaches zero, and then the account will be closed. Because of this, things could get expensive if you forget to check in from time to time.

4. Your Account

5. Payment Details / Withdrawals

6. Bonuses

6.2 “Withdrawal of Promotional Offers […] You can withdraw your deposited cash at any time. Should You wish to withdraw Your cash balance prior to completing wagering requirements You may do so by contacting Customer Support. Please note You will be required to forfeit your bonus balance, should You wish to withdraw Your deposited funds before the Promotional Offer terms are met.”

Comment: You should be aware that all of the operator’s bonuses will come with Hippodrome terms and conditions. These tend to include wagering conditions. If you do not fulfil them then the remainder of the bonus funds and associated winnings will be forfeit. Also, you won’t have access to withdraw these funds until you have completed the conditions.

7. Acceptable Use

8. Privacy Policy

9. Responsible Gambling

10. Support and Complaints

11. Games and Interruptions in Play

11.2 “In the event of a malfunction in a Game, Service or any of the related systems, or due to any other error, all wagers placed during such period are void and will be refunded. Funds obtained from a malfunctioning Game or Service shall be void, as well as any subsequent game rounds or Services with said funds, regardless of what Games or Services are played using such funds. If You are, as a result of such malfunction or error, credited with funds resulting in any overpayment or over-crediting to Your account, it is Your responsibility to promptly inform Hippodrome. Hippodrome reserves the right, upon becoming aware of any erroneous crediting, or payment of funds, to adjust Your account to recover any such funds.”

Comment: The important thing to realise here is that if, for some reason, you find that a malfunction in a game leads to you being crediting funds that you shouldn’t have, do not spend that money! You will be required to give it back and things can get awkward if you have wagered it or withdrawn it from the casino.
