Bwin Casino Terms and Conditions In Detail

As part of reviewing bwin casino, I have painstakingly sifted through the full bwin casino terms and conditions available on the casino website.

The bwin casino terms of service apply to all products provided by the company, including sports betting, poker and all casino operations. The version of the user agreement I refer to on this page is dated 23/11/2017. You can access the full document here. If you find that a newer version of the T&C is now available, or if you should happen to have any questions regarding what you find on this page, please feel free to contact me at contact@casinoreviews.co.uk.

Contents of the User Agreement

It is crucially important to read the terms and conditions of any user agreement you enter into, but even more so if it’s an online casino where you are going to be playing with your own money. The user agreement is very accessible at bwin but it is long and tedious to read. Fortunately for you, I have taken one for the team and done it for you. Here are the key points I noticed that are worth highlighting, so you don’t have to read the entire thing.

1. Applicability of agreements

2. Legality of use of the facilities

3. Account/registration

4. True identity and one account

5. No group employees, affiliates, bookmakers, sports participants or prohibited persons

6. Your use of the facilities

7. Copyright and trademarks

8. Electronic facilities provider

9. Bonuses

9 You are not entitled to withdraw any Bonus amounts and You may not remove any cash obtained via a Bonus from Your Account without first complying with the applicable terms including, without limitation, in respect of any qualifiers or restrictions.

Comment: This is basically what it says on the tin. Do not sign up for a bonus at bwin expecting to withdraw it immediately or make a quick exit with your free cash. This online casino will not let you withdraw any bonus funds (or the initial deposit made to acquire them) without first completing a fairly difficult wagering requirement.

10. Withdrawals

11. Inactive account fees and abandonment of accounts

11 If You do not access Your Account by ‘logging on’ to Your Account using Your Account name / User ID and password and either (i) place a cash wager or bet via the Facilities, or (ii) enter a tournament with a cash entry fee via the Gaming Facilities, or (iii) play a raked hand via the Gaming Facilities, or (iv) make a deposit as applicable, for any consecutive period of 365 days, then after those 365 days (the ‘Grace Period’) Your Account (and any related account with any ESP) will be deemed ‘Inactive’.

Comment: In short, if you don’t log in and place a real money bet for a whole year, then you are deemed inactive. A lost customer.

Once Your Account has been deemed Inactive We will be entitled to charge You an administrative fee (the ‘Inactive Account Fee’). We may deduct an amount up to the Inactive Account Fee amount from Your Account Balance on the day following the end of the Grace Period and then every thirty (30) days thereafter in accordance with the Inactive Account Fee Schedule.

Comment: Inactive customers do not generate income for bwin, and that’s a problem. As a result, bwin will deduct £5 every 30 days from inactive customers as an “admin fee”. The fee will continue to be withdrawn from your account until the balance reaches £0. Admin fees will not cause a negative balance.

12. Third-party content

13. Disclosure of account name / user id and password

14. Fraudulent activities, prohibited transactions and failed deposits

15. Errors

16. Security review

17. Forfeiture & account closure

18. Termination & facilities closure

19. Compensation

20. Time-out and self-exclusion

20 You may be entitled to lodge requests for a temporary time-out or indefinite self-exclusion by using the responsible gaming function available on Your Account which can be accessed via the Account section Close account. If you opt to use any of the cool off or self-exclusion tools in connection with Your Account, the Inactive Account Fee will not be deducted from Your Account. Upon indefinite self-exclusion the outpayment of the account balance (less any bonuses) in Your Account will be initiated, subject to the terms of this Agreement.

Comment: If you are concerned about gambling addiction or feel as though you might have a problem, you can request what is known as self-exclusion. This process involves notifying bwin that you no longer wish to gamble, and the site will either temporarily or permanently prevent you from gambling on its domain. No inactive user fee is charged to temporarily self-excluded customers.
