Red Tiger Blackjack Review – What You Need to Know

Don’t let the name fool you: there are no wild animals to be found in this game. The Red Tiger reference in the title is merely a reference to the software developer that exploded onto the online casino gaming scene in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since. This Red Tiger Blackjack review will explain why this game is a centrepiece of the company’s portfolio, or you can play it right now at my recommended casino by clicking through the link in the table below.

Hopefully the demo game above has given you a bit of a better understanding of the game – it’s beautiful, right? The developer is well known for its crisp, clear graphics and this is no different. So with the eyes and ears satisfied, let’s move on to the rules section of my Red Tiger Blackjack review.

Red Tiger Blackjack Rules and Particulars

As far as online blackjack games go, the Red Tiger Blackjack rules pretty well follow what are known to be the standard blackjack rules. This is a good thing, because as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The dealer hands out the cards from a freshly shuffled eight decks, giving everyone two to begin – one of his own face up, then offer you a choice: hit, stand or double. If that first faceup card is an ace, you can also choose to purchase insurance, which will protect your money against the dealer having blackjack. Once you decide whether or not the insurance bet is for you, the dealer will peek at its facedown card to see if he has blackjack or not, instantly ending the round if he does. If you have blackjack, your bet will be paid out at a ratio of 3:2. If no one has blackjack: choose to hit or stand based on your hand. Once you’ve settled, the dealer will look after himself following clearly outlined rules: he must hit on a 16 and stand on a soft 17.

Although the game’s rules are nothing special, what really stands out about this version of the classic game is the gorgeous animations of the cards. The gentle sweep of the deal is smooth as silk and the red table adds a touch of class among the developer’s green-felted competition. The smooth piano jazz loops seamlessly, with mumbling voices in the background providing the honest ambience of a luxury casino. The return to player (RTP) for this version is 99.28%, which is really high among online casino games generally, but a little lower than many other blackjack games.
