European Blackjack Redeal Gold Review – A Detailed Overview

Last Update: 05/05/2023

In a 2014 TED talk, American psychologist, Barry Schwartz, explained the theory behind his controversial 2004 book, ‘The Paradox of Choice’. According to the author, having a choice in a capitalist society is critical to happiness, but that too many options can increase anxiety for customers. That being said, if you’re looking for an online blackjack game and don’t want to be burdened with the sheer volume of options, click on the below link to remove the decision-making process and begin playing a European Blackjack Redeal Gold game without delay If you’d like to learn more about the game then continue reading my European Blackjack Redeal Gold review.

Whether you chose to play a hand or two of the demo game above, I’d also recommend having a read through the rest of this European Blackjack Redeal Gold review, as there is a special feature about this game that is not very common and worth understanding before you start playing for real money.

European Blackjack Redeal Gold Rules

The main reason I’ve brought Schwarz’s theory about choice into this European Blackjack Redeal Gold review is simple. The game, developed by Microgaming, has added an extra layer of options into what is normally a relatively simple game with minimal decision-making required with its redeal feature. First, note that many of the standard blackjack rules apply, such as the dealer stands on 17 and blackjack pays 3:2. However, it’s the redeal option that is the standout here. The dealer hands you two cards, and one to themselves. As always, you can choose to hit, stand or split a matching pair, but things get interesting in the redeal options. You will be able to decide whether or not to redeal the dealers hand, or your own hand, for a price. Sometimes the redeal option is free, but that’s dependent on the cards that are in play. If you get dealt a low quality hand compared to the dealer, the price to redeal your hand is a lot higher than if you have a good hand, or if the dealer had a dodgy first card.

If you choose to hit and bust, you will be offered the chance to get rid of the last-dealt card and get another one from the unused cards instead – but the price is almost guaranteed to be on the high side, always using your original bet as a basis, and sometimes the redeal costs even more than starting a whole new round again. There’s space at the table for five players but you can only play one hand at a time. Interestingly, the European Blackjack Redeal Gold game only uses two decks of cards – freshly shuffled after each round – but this can make it a little easier to use the card counting strategy effectively. Now that you understand the European Blackjack Redeal Gold rules, you might understand the Schwarz’s problem with choice, as it can be difficult to keep your mind on the original aim of the game – finding 21 – while being inundated with so many other things to consider.

I found that the redeal option was rarely helpful in any way, and had the most successful hands by just ignoring the choice and playing the main game of blackjack the way we all know it. Personally, I think the ‘Paradox of Choice’ author had the right idea in the context of this game. But, with a great return to player (RTP) percentage of 99.6%, its also a great option if you can ignore the redeal feature, so you can click through and play European Blackjack Redeal Gold now at my recommended casino below, and make use of the great welcome bonus. Or if you think Schwarz’s opinion is rubbish, feel free to peruse my other blackjack reviews for even more options to choose from.
